Cole Hauser stars as the lead character, John Wright, in The Last Champion. Currently, he can be seen as fan-favorite Rip Wheeler in Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan’s epic series for the Paramount Network. Throughout his career, Cole has generated incredible performances in a wide variety of independent features, notably receiving an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Tigerland. Cole also received significant critical acclaim for his performance in the Warner Bros. feature, White Oleander. Recently, Cole was the series lead on Rogue for the Audience Network and starred opposite Bruce Willis for the second time in Acts of Violence for Lionsgate. (He had previously worked with Willis in the 2003 action/thriller Tears of the Sun.) Among his many memorable roles are key performances in Hart’s War, Higher Learning, Good Will Hunting, Dazed and Confused, Olympus Has Fallen, A Good Day To Die Hard and 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Cole has collaborated with a wide variety of Academy Award-nominated filmmakers including Steven Spielberg, Richard Linklater, Taylor Sheridan, Mel Gibson, Ian Bryce, Scott Stuber, Gus Van Sant, and John Singleton. Spielberg fondly referred to Cole as “the last of the cowboys” when they worked together on High Incident.
